Visual arts is a vital key learning area within your child's education. At Tharawal Primary School students engage in visual arts experiences both in the classroom and as an extra-curricular activity.
Students interested in visual arts at Tharawal Primary School are strongly encouraged by staff and peers to engage in specialised art groups. These art groups focus on developing the artistic skills and expertise of students, whilst teaching students to appreciate the artistic works of others. To date, Tharawal Primary School students have successfully participated in programs and initiatives that include:
Tharawal Public School competes in the The Premier's Debating Challenge. It is a competition that is open to all NSW government schools, with the aim of developing the public speaking and reasoning skills of students from Years 5 to 12.
