Wellbeing
At our school, student wellbeing and learning go hand in hand. We want every student to feel safe, included and ready to learn. Whether your child needs support with their social–emotional, social or physical wellbeing, we are committed to helping them thrive at school and in their everyday lives.
How we support student wellbeing
Supporting each student’s social–emotional, social and physical wellbeing is part of everyday school life. Our approach is proactive, inclusive and built on strong relationships with students and families.
We support student wellbeing through:
- teachers who create welcoming, inclusive and safe classrooms
- access to our school counsellor and specialist support staff
- programs that strengthen health, social skills, attendance and positive behaviour
- support for students who are new to our school or transitioning between year levels
- clear expectations that promote respectful behaviour and positive relationships
- staff who take the time to know each child and work in partnership with families
- developing individual health care plans for students who require them
- open, ongoing communication about student wellbeing and support needs.
